Pfizer Fridays
2025
Pfizer Fridays is an initiative that looks to build a bridge between the conversations, practices, and learning students undertake in their program (both in the Communication Design MFA and the Packaging Design MS) and larger professional practices outside of academia. Through a series of lectures, workshops, professional development events, and more, we hope to expose students to current industry conversations in order for them to start imagining where their personal practices might flourish after graduation.
As a graduate assistant of the Pratt Communication Design Department , I got to lead and implemnet this initiative from top to bottom. Working closely with faculty and peers, I selected speakers aligned with program values and coordinated outreach, scheduling, and logistics, serving as the primary liaison between guests and the institution. I developed the series’ visual identity and communication strategy, producing print and digital promotional assets including posters, Instagram content, and email blasts. I also collected and synthesized student feedback, producing a self-study report to inform departmental assessment and future programming.
However, this initiative would not be possible without the contributions of the incredible line-up of guest speakers and contributing faculty: Gabriele Rossi, Jane Wu, Joyce Shi, Jessie McGuire, Mindy Seu, Nat Pyper, Megan Marini, Jean Pierre Consuegra, Mihoshi Fukushima Clark, Chris Rypkema, Clarence Kwan, Talia Cotton, Bráulio Amado, Asad Pervaiz, Munus Shi, Micheal Dyer, Tyler Paige, Ali Godil and John Kudos.
