Positioning the BBG as a multifaceted institution that fosters connection between people and nature by centering its core values in everything it does; wether that be public programming, education, research, or exhibition.

Capturing both the garden’s ability for growth and adaptation and brooklyn’s energy of local pride and bold celebration, this identity focuses on building a system that offers endless iteration through adaptive lettering that tangles and untagles itself and an extended color palette that offers inumerous possibilities for re-formulation.

The signage is implemented through two distinct systems, one extends the primary typeface into a custom icon set to establish a clear and accessible wayfinding system, while the other uses the silhouette illustrations from the visual identity to deliver information about programming, education, and content.
